Exclusive Meson Production at NLO
Generalized parton distributions (GPDs) are a versatile tool to quantify important aspects of hadron structure in QCD. They contain unique information on the spatial distribution of partons [1] and on the orbital angular momentum they carry in the proton [2]. The theoretically cleanest process where GPDs can be studied is deeply virtual Compton scattering (similar to inclusive DIS, which plays ...

متن کاملExclusive meson production at COMPASS
In this paper we summarize recent measurements of exclusive meson production performed by the COMPASS Collaboration. In particular, recent results on the transverse target spin asymmetries for exclusive ρ0 production are presented. Some of these asymmetries are sensitive to the GPDs E, which are related to the orbital angular momentum of quarks. Other asymmetries are sensitive to the chiral-odd...

mesons on unpolarized hydrogen and deuterium targets is studied in the kinematic region of Q2 > 1.0 GeV2, 3.0 GeV < W < 6.3 GeV, and −t ′ < 0.2 GeV2, while for ρ0-meson production on a transversely polarized hydrogen target −t ′ < 0.4 GeV2 is used. Spin-density matrix elements for ω production are presented in projections of Q2 or −t ′, while the ratios of the helicity amplitudes for the reacti...
متن کاملHard Exclusive Production of a Vector Meson
The processes of a light neutral vector meson, V = ρ 0 , ω, φ, electroproduction and a heavy quarkonium, V = J/Ψ, Υ, photoproduction are studied in the framework of QCD factorization. We derive a complete set of hard-scattering amplitudes which describe these processes at next-to-leading order (NLO).
